So,

Finding other players that are interested in joining the RMN is not always possible. I have asked my regular Infinity/Warhammer/Dropfleet players if they are interested, and they are not. Considering the amount of time I spend on those hobbies, and wanting to become more involved in this one, is there no other response than "they must be TRMN members"?
I am in the same situation. My wife and I play board games about once every other month. She has blatantly said no to all attempts to get her to join TRMN. I've never played online games except RPG by email or Facebook games like Farmville and others. I used to play Atari Games about 40 years ago and have recently located my game system, but it doesn't connect online. I'm not sure it even works anymore.

I am unfamiliar with these other games that you mentioned. At IC 2017, I observed Artemis being played, but had no clue how to play it. It looked totally alien to me. I don't know if I could even learn how to play these online games or if there is any expense involved.

One of my shipmates was asking about if some game was authorized for the Black Sphinx Cup Challenge and we couldn't get an answer one way or the other.

Captain,

I understand that you may feel discouraged to try the new games, especially if you've not played those kinds of games before. But, I believe, that anyone, who plays a game, and wants others to try it would be more than happy to show you the ropes. I'm quite sure you'd be able to learn the games just fine. :)

If you're looking to playing some board games online, with TRMN people, you could always look up Tabletop Simulator. There's one-time payment, but it's quite often on sale, and costs very little. Captain Shaffer is usually very kind to mention whenever it's actually on sale, on our Discord, too, so you'd save even more.

The possibilities are there, gaming, no matter what kind of games, is a great way to connect with distant members from TRMN after all - and I hope, one way or another, you'll find what you would enjoy.

I tried to download the World of Warships game on my tablet and it didn't work. I don't want to purchase this Tabletop Simulator and then find out that my tablet can't use it. I work all weekends, so its usually hard to participate in TRMN activities unless I can use my tablet between work duties.

On my days off, I catch up on grading BuTrain/SFA courses and spending time with the family.

I was hoping that a solution would present itself, but it doesn't look like it.

Since you are using a tablet and not a computer, look for world of warships blitz app.

If I recall correctly, I tried to help you with that question, and you couldn't even confirm what game you were asking about. I still give you a solid answer despite that. Please don't say nobody helped you when that's obviously not the case, it makes those who do help you reluctant to do it again.

We posted a screenshot of the game in the HMS Demon Facebook page. There was no response to that post that I saw. I am not savvy on computer games at all. I am supposed to be the liaison to collect data on these games and I have no idea how the games work, how to get credit for the games, what data is nedded, and how to play them.

I'm starting to think that I'm just trying to get answers to questions that I don't have any clue wat the question means. The only games that I played was pinball and Atari 2600 games in the 1970s. I'm almost 60 and haven't a clue about these new games, but want to help the chapter.

Nobody would be reasonable to expect of anybody else to know every game that's out there. That's why we have a community here, so we can reach out to each other, and help each other, in any way possible. There's no shame in asking, or not knowing something, Captain.
