Hi beautiful people!

Looking for some advice. I’m about to download and play Warhammer Vermintide on Xbox one with a friend in a different part of the country, via online cooperative multiplayer. Which category does this fall under? I’m thinking Plasma rifle, but I’ve never done anything marksman before and wanted to confirm.

Thank you 🖖😁

Good afternoon,

It would come under Plasma Carbine - Tactical Multiplayer Computer Games.

This is 100% correct. Just to cite the relevant section of the Marksmanship manual, here is the description of what falls under Plasma Carbine
Marksmanship Manual pg. 7 wrote:Plasma Carbine games are electronic, video, or computer games that cover tactical subject matter. Vintage arcade and console games, as well as pinball and other coin-op attractions, fall under the Plasma Carbine category by default in most cases. Only games of this vintage that are explicitly strategic in theme, such as The Blue and The Gray or Nobunaga’s Ambition, are not included under this heading.

Tactical multiplayer games, and single-player games organized into a game day or tournament, give credit toward the Plasma Carbine qualification.

EXAMPLES: All MMORPGS at the single-character or tactical level, Rock Band, Sid Meier’s Gettysburg!, World of Tanks,
Neverwinter Nights, Shadowrun Returns, and Artemis Starship Bridge Simulator.
The safe bet with computer and console games is Plasma Carbine.

The two most common exceptions are (1)grand strategy games and (2)games that more properly fall under a different category that just happen to be played on a computer. For example of the latter case, if you use Tabletop Simulator, a game on steam, to play Chess with a friend, you can mark it as Disruptor because you played Chess. Tabletop Simulator was just a tool used instead of a traditional physical board and pieces.

I hope this further clarifies how to classify computer games, please let me know if you have any additional questions.
